Hello everyone!
So a couple of days ago, my best friend and I got together since we are both home on winter break right now. We went to Olive Garden, solely for the fried mozzarella (which was divine, by the way). After we finished out dinner, we decided to go shopping. I had some birthday money burning a hole in my pocket, and I was dying to go to Sephora, especially.
We went to Victoria’s Secret first , which was packed since they’re having their semi-annual sale right now. I picked up THIS cute sleep shirt that says “This Is My Brunch Shirt.” I thought the colors were so cute, so I decided to pick it up.
Next, we went to Sephora. I had been dying to go since I decided that I wanted to get some new makeup for the new year. I picked up a couple of things, all of which I have had the chance to try out and (mostly) love. First, I picked up a smaller size of the BADgal Lash mascara from Benefit. I used this mascara a couple of years ago and loved it, so I figured that picking up a mini one couldn’t hurt.
I also got the Josie Maran Argan Skincare Ritual Set, which I have had the chance to use a couple of nights in a row. It has cleansing oil, Argan oil, and a moisturizer in it. I really like the cleanser and the Argan oil, but I found the moisturizer to be pretty underwhelming. It didn’t really rub into my skin and blend well at all.
I picked up this Ouai hair set, which I couldn’t find on Sephora’s website, but it has these in it: a wave spray, a texturizing spray, and a finishing creme. I also had the chance to try all of these out, and I LOVE the texturizing spray and the finishing creme, but the wave spray wasn’t very impressive. Honestly, I think that Not Your Mother’s Sea Salt Spray is much better (and is much cheaper).
My favorite item that I picked up from Sephora is the Too Faced Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Collection Palette. I love love love this palette! It smells delicious and all of the colors are gorgeous. I can picture myself using all of these shades, and the ones I have tried are very pigmented and wear well. I usually wear more subdued eyeshadows, so this palette is perfect for me. I have used it every day since I bought it, and I am very pleased with it!
After Sephora, we went to Lush and drooled over all of the yummy smelling bath bombs and lotions. I wasn’t planning on getting anything, but I did end up getting the Mint Julips lip scrub, since I have been looking for a good one lately. My lips are always so dry during the winter, so I always need to exfoliate before I put on lipstick.
I had so much catching up with my best friend. We have been friends since the first grade, so she is really more of a sister than a friend. I am so thankful that I got to spend so much time with her over break! I hope you guys enjoyed this haul!
